Panama City: Galapagos Shearwater? (1 Viewer)

Dear users,

on a Whale-Watching-trip off Panama City on the 4th of August 2018 i took these to pictures of a flyby shearwater. Both pictures show the same individual and the second picture I only attach because it shows nicely the shape of the wings.

Could it be that the bird is a Galapagos Shearwater?

It's a shearwater with white underparts. I cannot exclude all the really rare species, but where you were, this is by far the most likely species with those characters. Compare: https://www.birdforum.net/opus/Galapagos_Shearwater
