Cool, cloudy day here. Down to 57° F. Cold front just passed through and no birds on the porch. Have the feeders out and the water bowl is full. They must be heading to Mexico.

I noticed that the English House Sparrows congregate in groups of 6 or so at various times during the day. They land on nearby branches or the railing right under my porch feeder. They take turns eating peanuts and drinking from the water bowl.

Very sociable creatures.
