no sound on my hp g6 laptop (1 Viewer)

the sound suddenly stopped on my laptop,i listen to a lot of music on you tube which was a bit annoying, all my saved camera vids are also soundless but when I play roulette online the sound is back,the sound is also there on the odd web video ?

Check each applications settings and make sure they haven't somehow gone to mute.

Can't be that much wrong or you'd have no sound at all?

At the bottom right of your desktop on the task bar you have little icons, one of them should be a speaker which is for sound. Is that in any way indicating that it may be muted or off? Typically it will have various curved lines coming off it to indicate volume level, but you can also click it to change volume or right-click it to open the sound mixer and see if sound is muted for any particular(or all) applications.
