In north Humberside and Wharfedale each for a few days in a couple of weeks. Can anybody recommend a good site for seeing yellow wagtails please.

Regards

Peter

There have been birds at Blacktoft Sands near Goole in the last 2 weeks, but whether they hung about I don't know.
Usually birds in the Spurn area also but not having been for a while not got any up to date info.

Saw 1 bird for over fifteen minutes recently at Alkborough Flats, which are the other side of the river Trent from Blacktoft.
In Wharfedale, at the other end of the scale so to speak, only once seen a Yellow Wagtail and that was for about 5 seconds! That was last June, on the Dales Way path just before it leaves the Strid Woods.

Have been looking at one that has made its home in a field of wheat near the village of woodsetts near worksop ,have taken photos of bird to ,and they match up with the pics in RSPB birds of britain, just one pair in the field. The pics where taken over a long range so had to blow them up on the comp, have been looking at them for three days Steve
