Here is a link to a new review of the GH3 where the person doing the review is a pro shooter and the review centers on a trip to Kenya where he took close to 12000 photos with this camera using the 100-300 lens. The opening shot is a photo of him with this camera next to someone using a gigantic nikon FF with 600 mm lens. He points out a few drawbacks of the pana combo but overall expresses great joy over the results he got.

Interesting review and article. I found his statements that the GH-3 with the 100-300mm lens has the same reach as a Canon or Nikon with a 600mm to be misleading (to the uninitiated, perhaps). With a Canon 600mm with a crop factor of 1.3 or 1.6 and a teleconverter up to 2x, you have much greater reach. I do get his point, and he does have nice photos of large African wildlife. But if I had the opportunity to photograph African wildlife, I sure would want a more traditional DSLR with a long lens.
 
I think his reference was the guy with the FF nikon body and a 600 mm that is shown next to him in the first photo.
