digiscoping equivalent lens size? (1 Viewer)

For the last few years I have been didgiscoping through an ES80 with a 20-60 zoom using a Cannon A590.

Whilst out the other day I was looking on the display of a DSLR with a 400mm lens. It was surprising to me how much more magnification my set up had over the camera. It also surprised me how the DSLR struggled in the available light but I think that might be another question!

The thing I am interested in is what would be the DSLR lens equivalent sizes when compared to the scope. Specifically if I have my optical zoom set to 1x to remove the vinigetting then what would the equivalent lens sizes be with the scope zoom set to 20x 35x and 60x mag. Then the big one 3x optical looking through 60x zoom. Not that I get many great pictures zoomed right up there but I am interested in what size of lens would be needed to match the set up I have.

cheers

Thanks for that Paul.

I hadnt realised that the equivalents would be such huge lenes!....im quite shocked as to how my Cannon copes....not that it copes that well at max mags...lol
