Hola from the Thousand Islands of New York (1 Viewer)

Dan Miller

Avicasual Birder
United States
Hola, Greetings and Hello!

My name is Dan, and I live amongst the Thousand Islands, on the St. Lawrence River in upstate New York. Out my living room window is the Canadian border and Wolf Island. I doubt the birds (or the fish) realize there is a border there.

My day job is magazine editor and webmaster for a non-profit organization that focuses on wooden canoes. I am also a boatbuilder, woodworker, timber framer and leathercrafter.

I have been birding on and off since a young kid who went family camping in Vermont, and through my college days studying biology, ecology and evolution.

A recent trip to Costa Rica renewed my interest in birding, and I now keep what I call my "After-50 List," which I started on my 50th birthday.

I am looking forward to participating on the forums.
Cheers!
Dan
