New Leica C-Lux 1 (1 Viewer)

For those who find the Leica D-Lux 2 a tad too expensive or over-complicated, Leica have just announced the C-Lux 1, which will initially retail at £379. There is, as usual, a cheaper Panasonic equivalent. Here is the offical Leica information:

Digital Photography Review has the offical press release:

What's interesting is that it also fits the Leica Digital Adaptor, since Leica are promoting it as suitable for digiscoping. The press release reads:

The LEICA C-LUX 1 also offers a simple solution for digiscoping (photography through a scope) in the form of the Leica digital adapter. Instead of the extensive and expensive equipment that is often necessary for such applications, this solution requires only the compact digital camera connected to the eyepiece of a LEICA TELEVID scope with the adapter. The LEICA C-LUX 1 then becomes a camera with an extremely large focal length range for ambitious bird and nature watchers, producing frame-filling digital pictures of impressive, unvignetted quality. The large 2.5“ display of the LEICA C-LUX 1 is superb for assessing the picture area and composition when digiscoping. The optical image stabilization facility ensures shake-free nature photos even in poor light and extreme conditions.

Any thoughts on how this camera might shape up?

If it's like the Panasonic FX-01 than there's no manual controls and it's high-iso modes are useless. The OIS feature maybe good for digiscoping and the digiscoping adapter is a bonus. The images posted in Dpreview in the Panasonic camera tests are quite nice.
If it's the same camera with a different name - why not go for the Panasonic?
I wonder if anyone tried it already for digiscoping.
