Need Help For Thrush(?) Pic!!!

I took this picture today in greater Boston at about 12:00. He was in a pine tree, being skittish. I couldn't get focused with all the branches in the way. The closest thing I can think of is maybe a Varied Thrush. Also notice his beak, pale with a black tip.

Personally I'd put my money on a Hermit Thrush. The black bill tip isn't a problem. Varied Thrush is a bit nearer in shape to American Robin - at least it's less dinky and rotund than your bird looks.

I agree with Bluetail, definitely a Hermit.

Almost certainly looks more like a Catharus type thrush

Hermit Thrush as Jason says is a good call.

Hermit sounds good - rufous tail plus the fact that they are the only thrushes likely to be found this far north at this time of the year.
