A friend an I were in Awash NP for a day last week. Many of these are lifers for me, so I thought I'd double check IDs. Let me know what you think!

1. White-browed/Red-backed Scrub Robin
2. Lesser Kestrel
3. African Grey Flycatcher (shadows lightened)
4. Gillett's Lark
5. Singing Bush Lark

And the long-shot: thought I heard the Sombre Chat on the lava fields, but this is the only view I got. I think it might just be a Blackstart...

No literature at hand, so can't contribute much but your IDs seem OK to me. Except for the Heron which is a Goliath Heron, note the massive bill...
Where you couldn't decide it is indeed difficult. No 6 looks more like a Willow Warbler to me, but hard to be sure.

Thanks! I can't remember at the moment what made me think purple heron for 10. I'll have to check my guide and see where I went wrong (the bill size to start!)
