Took these at Frampton Marsh a week or so ago. Are they Black tailed Godwilts and how would a Bar tailed Godwit look different

Yep, Blackwits.


Barwit is a stockier bird, with slightly shorter legs, and a faintly upturned bill (not totally straight).

I would go a bit further and say 'significantly' shorter legs. Plus the upperparts of bar-tails are always streaky.
