Z Dialyt 10x40B GAT...valuation sought

I bought these in 18/9/87 for 379
They had a focus repair under warranty July 2017.
The guy servicing them said they were immaculate.
I have the original box and paperwork etc.

I would welcome any advice about what these might be worth now as I'm looking to buy new bins.

Thanks
Steve

Around 379 maybe.

But await other opinions.

The 1987 10x40 I suppose is without phase coating, so maybe 250 or a bit more is more realistic.

A phase coated 10x40 is probably 379 or so.

I wasn't sure if phase coated or not.

regards,
B.

1987 10x40 would not be phase-coated...1989 and later.

The first phase coatings were applied in 1988.

Gijs is correct about the introduction of phase coatings by Zeiss in 1988
(verses the 1989 date in my recent post: https://www.birdforum.net/showpost.p...60&postcount=9 )

His post prompted me to do a bit of googling around and I found:

A) 1988 is specifically mentioned on the current version of the Zeiss international website, see the attached image
it's from: https://www.zeiss.com/corporate/int/...inoculars.html

B) However, it does not seem that the coatings were initially applied to all binocular lines - specifically not to the compacts or the individual focus rubber armoured 8x30 Dialyts
(which of course makes the photo used by Zeiss in the above reference misleading), see post #3: https://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=32176

C) And it seems that the first phase coated units were not so marked - just the box they came in
see the first 4 posts: https://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=271948
and the 3 attached images that are linked to the first post

Thanks all for your replies.
The Zeiss service guy Gary Hawkins of East Coast Binocular Repairs, has just confirmed they were not phase coated at that time.
Coatings were introduced in 1988.

Gary replaced the focus mech in 2017 for me, under warranty (just!).
He does excellent work if anyone needs service work completing.
