Scaly-breasted Munia (1 Viewer)

Guys every year Scaly-breasted Munias visit our house during rainy season.
They take their sweet time to choose the corner/place for their nest and hatching and after a brief period of 25-30 days they leave our home.

I would like to understand their living.

For the rest of the year where do they live? How do they survive without a fixed home/nest?
Dont do they require permanent homes like house sparrows?

I'm very curious to know and learn about these yearly guests at our house..
