Well, while I was taking this pic I thought it was a house finch. When I downloaded it didn't quite look like one??? Is this a juvie house sparrow maybe?

No, it's definitely not House Sparrow.

Well, I have had quite a few towhees this summer, but this one came to my feeders and the adults are always feeding from the ground. I also have lots of song sparrows that do come to the feeders. I'm quite surprised that this has stumped the experts here as well! :)
 
Okey Eduardo - as I thought really but was fooled by Sibley - conserning juveniles having such primary base pattern, which I somhowe anyway knew.
