To say hello and a question! (1 Viewer)

Hello guys, I'm very new to this forum so I want to say hello to everybody in here. Then I want to ask you guys a silly question.
I was sitting at the campus bench of my Apknite company the other night watching rabbits and having a smoke and a large owl started hunting them, it was light-colored with what almost looked like striped, I think it was a barred owl. My question is: Is it safe to sit there and watch, is there any chance it will attack me? I'm maybe 50 - 60 feet away from the rabbits.
Thanks in advance o:D

Hi CHVRCHES and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

How wonderful to be able to watch wildlife when you're having a break at work. It's very rare for birds to attack people, and it's usually because you have approached a nest or their newly fledged young. Otherwise they ignore you or fly away.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
