I photographed this bird a while ago. It was very distant and the light was terrible. Any help with identification will be appreciated.

A Yaffle was the name for a Green Woodpecker where I grew up (NE England) not a Lapwing/Green Plover/Peewit. I think this is the case more widely as well.
