Dear colleagues
This is a bit of a cheat really so please forgive me.
The attached photo is a screen grab from the live feedercam for Japan

which I recently found and have started viewing.
It is interesting to get acquainted with one or two birds in such a far away country that I shall most likely never get the chance to visit.

Please therefore may I ask for id on the attached image which regrettably is somewhat poor in quality.

I see now from the list of birds of Japan in Wikipedia that it must be that species. thank you for confirming thus.
