Hi all

I've been in to Bonsai since around 1999, I now find I need to built benches as they're having to go on the ground now!!

Acers, The Queen of Bonsai are my fave!

Here's a few (Sorry for the below par photography!)..

Any other Bonsai Nuts on here?

Nice - something I've always wanted to try but never got around to it. Have looked into it a bit from the Australian natives point of view.

One that I had planted in my garden that I thought would have great potential is the shrub - Micromyrtus ciliata. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micromyrtus_ciliata

Gnarly twisted bark, and a proliferation of superfine white and pink heath flowers. The leaves are also very fine heath like. Lots of potential I think. Some of the Eucalypts can get excessively big for the desired effect from what I have seen - lots of work.

I recall seeing a bloke who had been bonsaiing Oz natives for a couple of decades on the Australian TV ABC show Gardening Australia. He seemed to have some pretty good success.
