Rosefinches (1 Viewer)

I posted this in the Bird ID forum and got zero replies, so I figured I'd try here, too. These photos were taken last month in Qinghai, at an elevation around 4,000 m / 13,000 ft. I believe they are either Beautiful or Pink-rumped Rosefinches, but I'm having difficulty determining which (if either). Any help would be appreciated. They were hanging around some glacial lakes. More pictures in the second post, as there's a 5-image limit.

Not within my direct experience, as I only get to North-East China much, but lacking any other replies, I would say it looks very much like Pink-rumped Rosefinch to me. I also posted to your ID Forum thread so maybe by bringing it back up to the top we will get some more expert help.

You might look at the Macaulay Library images. (Sorry for the long link) https://search.macaulaylibrary.org/...es=Pink-rumped Rosefinch - Carpodacus waltoni

The Himalayan Beautiful is close though. https://search.macaulaylibrary.org/...aType=Audio,Photo,Video&sort=upload_date_desc
