Gull in Portland, Oregon (1 Viewer)

I photographed this gull in downtown Portland while looking for a slaty-backed gull which is supposed to be wintering here. Using the opportunity to learn my gulls...Thanks!

Not sure of the first gull. Not enough showing to make a good guess of a faded west coast gull. It could be anything.

The second one is a late second winter (1st spring) or 3rd winter Glaucous-Winged Gull. The primaries are pale and do not contrast too much with the rest of the plumage which itself is rather low in contrast, a characteristic of this species.
