osprey in Hilgay??? (1 Viewer)

A friend fishing at lakes in Hilgay (near Downham Market) in November thought it was an osprey he saw swoop down to catch a fish. Is that possible? Could it have been a lesser black backed gull? Any ideas gratefully received. Thank you.
 
Dear Connor, many thanks for the info - I was very sceptical but I guess this guy did see the osprey. I'll look out for it next year. Read your blog. Good luck with your birding, and A levels!
