Pentax K-500 (1 Viewer)

I like mine. The only thing I can't figure out is the flash. I understand how the ISO works, but sometimes I want the flash to fire. Otherwise it is a great camera.
 
Don't have a K-500. The pentax bodies I do have, flash firmware is much the same, perhaps a bit more sophisticated. Your on-body flash "could" be enabled for master/slave mode, and be set to output a pure signal without
the on-body strobe actually firing. Firmware merely providing a wireless annunciation to any slaved flash.
