Clee hill, Shropshire, UK - golden plovers?

Hi

Saw a reasonably sized flock of these at the radar station end of Clee Hill in Shropshire, UK.

Are they golden plovers?
Do you think they migrate this way all the time - or were they blown off course - it was very windy!

Thanks Julie

Yes, Golden Plovers. Not sure of their exact status in Shropshire but I'd be suprised if they're uncommon at this time of year.

Flocks can be found wintering a couple of counties further south in Gloucestershire, both at Slimbridge WWT and in the Cotswolds. :)
