We were hiking in the Avalon/Orange Grove areas of Patapsco State Park and saw this bird- we thought it might have been a hawk, maybe a golden eagle...can anyone tell us?

Welcome to the forum! Your bird is a young Red-tailed Hawk. In future you may want to mention the state where you saw the bird (was it Maryland?)
