Hello everyone! I took this pictures some days ago in Guadalajara (Spain). I just wanted to ask if you find the colours of this sparrow normal, since I believe it has a reddish breast and neck. If so, what do you think is the reason for this?

Red dust within the feathers from dust bathing or lighting artefact in my opinion.
A mixture of both - I tried editing the pic in photoshop, setting the colour balance to the right green for the leaves, and much of the red tone went from the bird. But it still had a patch of reddish on the breast, which I'd agree must be red dust.

Sparrows spend a lot of time dust bathing, so it can happen easily :t:
