Hunting Hobby. (1 Viewer)

Just spent 20 mins or so watching a Hobby hunting over Madeley (North Staffs).
Couldn't see what it was hunting but judging by how many times it was taking prey from its talons said to me that it was a successful hunt.

Thought I had seen them in previous years over Madeley but never really had a positive I.D before today. A real treat on a sunny/warm day.

JGYR ... At Middleton Lakes recently and Sudbury Hall Lake (just over the Staffs border in Derbyshire) this week, I've again had good views of Hobby doing what they do so impressively ... catching and eating dragonflies, and making it look so easy. Hope this helps..
