Can anyone say what the IQ is like comparing a D2x and a D300 given that they are the virtually identical MP and both are APS-C. I imagine the D300 is going to win in the noise department comfortably but is there any difference in terms of detail, assuming all other things are equal of course?

Would be great if anyone has actually owned both of those bodies to give me their general impression of them.

Careful Adam, this could get nasty.....the darkside is always more fun though.....

the D300 is a cracking camera and i can't fault it but can't comment on a comparison with a D2x i'm afraid, so not much help.
