Ok, there has been a flurry of 'how many have you seen' threads of late, so I thought I'd change the format slightly and see how many birds you know in song or tune titles from all musical genres.

I am a songwriter and I have written a lot of songs inspired by birds. I never have named the bird featured in the songs, wouldn't want to alienate anyone. "Little Bird" "Flyin" "Bird on a Limb"

"Will the Birds Still Fly Today"
I look but I can't see the sky
Computer's bright, it blocks my eyes
But tell me sir, is it really gonna matter anyway?
Will the sun still shine, will the bird still fly today?

I've stared at computer screens too long
Everything that I've worked for, it's all gone
I want to feel the earth beneath my feet
Watch children play as I walk down the street

I've escaped and I feel like I can fly
No ceiling above, just clear blue sky
Computer man, I dropped you a line just to say
That the sun still shines and the birds still fly today

""Bird of Paradise" up your nose?

You're thinking of

Here are a few more -
“Twa Corbies” - old English folk song about two ravens picking over a fallen soldiers body
“Follow the Heron” – Malinky
“Crow Black Chicken” – New Lost City Ramblers
“The Thieving Magpie” – Rossini overture

Also, I think this thread is an excellent way of showing your age... Golden Eagle! Max Bygraves!! I thought he was a victorian explorer :-O

I just heard this swedish folk guitarist who goes by the name 'the tallest man on earth', He's a bit like Dylan. On his album titled shallow graves;

Where do my bluebirds fly
The sparrow and the medicine

Ha Ha, just thought of a beaut....anything by Jimi HENdrix!!

And my good lady informs me that there's a dodgy eighties band called 'Flock Of Seagulls'?
