transmitting bird calls

This is my first note to this forum.

I wondeed if anyone has used a small wireless speaker to transmit bird calls in order to attract them for photography.

I'd like any advice based on any experience anyone may have had. If it's worked, what equipment was used, etc.

I'm planning on using a blue tooth link for that purpose. I expect to be able to conceal myself approx. 30 ft from the speaker and take the pictures.

I'd appreciate directions to the right forum if I'm in the wrong spot.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Dan and a warm welcome to you on behalf of the Staff and Moderators.

Some people do use recordings to attract birds, but this method really needs to be used with great care so as not to disturb them when they are breeding. They are already under enough stress without trying to find a rival on their patch.

You may find some other threads on the subject, possibly searching for "tape luring".
