I spotted this (single) plant growing on the edge of a sinkhole in Carvoeiro. I have tried to ID it but to no avail.

Help with an ID will be appreciated.

Is this Barbury Nut Iris? Also growing in the same area.

Yes, Barbary Nut Gynandriris sisyrinchium - one of our native Irises. Also, a nice little carpet below of Paronychia argentea, of the carnation family.
