the perennial question, and i must apologise if the picture is maybe not of the quality to resolve the issue

there were four or five of them in a meadow, and all of them flew off when a buzzard was calling from above

picture taken earlier today in Forest Farm on the outskirts of Cardiff

thanks for the reply - i wasn't sure whether the markings were clear enough for an identification
clearly that's the case for someone who know what they're looking for
