WR Sandpiper, Dublin? (1 Viewer)

Can someone tell me if this is a White-Rumped Sandpiper? Taken today in Dublin by a non-birder friend who said it couldn't fly.

I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure

Yes, long primaries and overall elongated shape indicate White-rumped Sand.

I would say White-rumped as well.

Thanks folks! Turns out my non-birder friend was astute in considering it unusual, although his main concern was that it wouldn't fly, which is why he photographed it. I didn't know this when I posted, but there had been a WRS reported in the area a few days before by birders.

Yes, especially as the guy isn't even a birder!:smoke:
