All-Dayer this Saturday
We are lacking in suitable wader habitat but we can still put up a decent fight, I will be out of hospital some time today, so will be showing my face in the Valley Saturday, I will have my phone back tomorrow so please text me with any updates on the day use Twittter or post on here. A very quiet August in the Valley with only 96 species seen 3 being year ticks, the Terns fledged early in the month, we had our third Black Tailed Godwit of the year a brief visit from a Green Sand, our three year ticks where Avocet for a couple of hours only our forth record, a fly through Greenshank and Tree Pipit x 2, we had Hobby on 6 dates and 10 Spotted Flycatcher, Redstart, a couple of Little Egrets, Common Gull, Yellow Wagtail and a couple of Shelduck briefly, the only counts of any note being Cormorant x26 and Wood Pigeon x300
