Hello from Cairo (1 Viewer)

I am an expat living in Cairo and am a keen birder. I just started looking over Cairo for new birds and new sights. To say the least, the place is busy and exciting.

One quick question - I am seeing several kestrel/merlin sized birds of prey. Being from the US, the kestrel's in North America are a bit smaller and more colorful than here. Any suggestions to what I am seeing?

Thanks

Robin,
THanks for the link. The kestrels I am seeing do not have the stripping on the back or breast. They are a solid rust color on that back.

I will try to take a photo and post.

Hi Dogcat and a warm welcome from me too

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I'll look forward to hearing all your news.
