Changing close focus of Ultravid? (1 Viewer)

Back in the date it was possible to have the close focus of your classic Trinovid changed to a closer setting.
Does anybody know if this is possible or does anybody tried to do this with the Ultravid (BR/HD or HD plus)?
It is now 3,3 meter or something quite close.

It probably is possible, but may depend on ones eye prescription.

Infinity could be lost if taken too far.

If currently 3.3 metres, I suppose 2.5 metres with infinity setting, or even 2 metres might be possible with loss of infinity views.

Just see your post.
just mail this question to Wim de Boer www.dekijkerspecialist.nl
If one can do it in The Netherlands he is.
Let us know how it ends.

Agree as above

I remember this being done in the days when one could go to Leica in Milton Keynes and actually talk to someone. I think it was the first time I met Gary Hawkins. Couple of minutes and he put on new eyecups on my 8 x 42 BA.

I also recall a pair of traded in Trinovid 8 x 32 BNs that had lost some of the infinity and "over run" focus after being adjusted as mentioned.

I did speak with mr. Boer. And it is technically possible, but you won't gain a lot of close focus distance.
You will probably have to give up too much far focus, depending on your eyesight, when doing this.
So I decided not to proceed with it and to be happy with my 7x42 as it is.

Thank you all for your reply.
I will try to contact the mentioned person.
