Swarovski CT travel tripod strap attachment ? (1 Viewer)

Well-known member
I have a Swarovski CT travel tripod which comes with a strap and I cannot see how to connect this to the tripod ? One end of the strap has a clip which can be attached to a hook on at the top of the tripod. The other end however is just a small plastic circular hoop, how is this support to attach to a tripod leg or the centre column ?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks.

There is a lug on the base of the scope with either a 1/4"x20 or 3/8"x16 female thread to which you attach a quick-release plate. Perhaps the carrying strap you mention is already attached to this lug.
If there is also a small hole adjacent to the thread, then this is for an anti-rotation pin on the plate to prevent inadvertant loosening.
Ideally you should use a 2-way video head on your tripod, although a ballhead will also work at a push.
