Birders' partners' unusual double tick combos (1 Viewer)

JWN Andrewes

Poor Judge of Pasta.
While at Treeve Moor on Saturday watching the Catbird a couple of Chough flew over calling, and a birder on site turned to his mrs and said (something like) "there you go, another tick for you!" It reminded me that my wife (then girlfriend) ticked Dunnock and White-throated Sparrow in the same garden, and Linnet and Black Lark on the same visit to South Stack.

What other incongruous doubles are out there for birders' other halves by virtue of being dragged around twitches before getting to grips with the bread and butter stuff?
