I could hear a wren so I looked to my back garden and I could see and adlut getting something from the ground . Then it flew into the 100ft hedge . It came back and started getting things like grass . I assume it is nest building .
I understand that the male builds several nests and the the female chooses . But can anyone give me more inforation this topic .
Thankyou

My wren chose to use one of the pre-made boxes that I put out for blue-tits this Summer. It is a weird but I have two baby wrens :)

No baby House Wrens yet but I have a pair nesting in my new bluebird box I put up this year. Be prepared. The male wren will be singing up a storm trying to attract a mate. Not much more info I can provide.

A male wren can build as many as 8 nests then the female will choose one and line it feathers and other materials. I watched a wren build a nest in our shed one year only for the female to turn her nose up at it.
