My wife & I were out walking yesterday when we saw around 20 Red Kites & Buzzards circling over a field full of sheep. The field had quite a dip in it & there seemed to be quite a lot of activity with various birds swooping low to the ground while others circled overhead. We also saw several pairs chasing each other which was quite good to watch.

We've often seen 4 or 5 Kites together but never that many Kites & Buzzards together at the same time. Has anyone else seen anything similar?

No I couldn't see any. I did wonder if maybe they were feeding on the placentas from new born lambs but as I said I couldn't see any.
