All these are from La Fortuna, near Volcan Arenal.

1-3 honeycreeper (Same individual)

Edit: I'm going back to my first impression: Green Honeycreeper, female. I had convinced myself it was a female Red-Legged, because I didn't see yellow on the bill. But the yellow bill is clearly there (most obvious on second photo - view full size), there's no hint of a dark eye-line,and the eye is reddish.

Non-bird question from the same location: can anybody identify this plant? Locals called in "poison ivy" (in English) and indicated it causes a similar rash. Up to four feet tall that I saw, green thorny stems, and the bumps on the leaves were distinctive.
