BGA SE 7x42 discontinued? (1 Viewer)

I have been told recently that the 7x42 version of the BGA SE wont be being made anymore.

Is this right?

This seems to be the only mid-priced 7x42 binocular around. It is a shame if it is no longer to be made.

It is still available and will be for some time to come Martin.

What has become apparent is that the competition at around the £400 retail mark is very strong - lots of models to choose from and lots of good bargains to be had when deep discounts are applied to bring £800+ models down to that price level.

There will be some changes to various parts of the Opticron binocular range over the course of the next few months so you may hear various things about certain models through the grapevine.

Cheers, Pete

Thanks Pete.

Any new 7x42s on the way. Or 7x35/36s. or any improvements to the BGA SE 7x42?
