Best guide to Vietnam and the region? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I'm currently considering the opportunity to move to Vietnam for a couple of years and have been enjoying the posts here as I try to weigh up the birding!

Can anyone shed any light on the best field guide to the region? The most complete one seems to be Field Guide to Birds of South East Asia by Craig Robson.

Any advice welcomed!

That's the one; there is not much else. I believe a new edition has just come out; O ordered it and am currently waiting for it.

You've got it spot on - Craig Robson's field guide is the best and latest. If you can't get it, Ben King's guide is useable, albeit slightly dated by now. And some plates are B&W rather than in colour.
