i am trying to attract swifts to our new nest boxes and have set up a sound system playing next calls. There are swifts flying close by but so far none have come down to house level to investigate. Does anyone know if there are particular signs that swifts have heard the calls as I am wondering if they can hear the nest calls?

Breeding season is not the best time of year for trying the calls out. Many birds consider it a threat.
