I photographed this bird on lake Nakuru in Kenya. It was early in the morning and light was low when I took the photo. This is the best I could do.
Is this a Hottentot Duck (Anas hottentota)?

I would appreciate having your opinion.

Thank you,
Cristian

Bill colour is wrong for Hottentot Duck which is blue.

Looks very much like a Red-billed Duck Anas erythrorhyncha.

Cheers

You are right that the bird looks like White Cheeked Pintail but I made the photo in Kenya at Nakuru lake in September 2013. According to my knowledge this is out of the birds range.

Thank you Bruce for ID. I met them only once and as I wrote in bad lighting conditions.
