.. it was a high tide this evening in the south west UK and i noticed this bird as it was being mobbed gulls which dive bombed it. Apologies for the ropey pic but it was just before sunset and i was not equiped for wildlife photography.

It obviously looks like a very young bird but can anyone tell me what it is please?

Mistaken for a Skua?

As a newly-fledged bird it could be chasing stuff looking for food much in the way that Skuas do when pirateing food.
