Nesting Swifts (1 Viewer)

A minimum of 5 metres is recommended. They can nest lower, but it's not preferred. It's important to make sure there is clear airspace opposite and below the nest box because they drop out of the entrance and dive down to gain airspeed.

They have been known to use dry stone walls of only a few feet in height - can't remember where I read/saw that though. Maybe a Google of Swifts & walls might find it?
