Gulls Sea of Japan May (1 Viewer)

Last 30th April - 1st May, we took a ferry from Japan to Vladivostok via South Korea - over the Sea of Japan. I'm trying to finish off my IDs from then. Here are two gulls I'm not sure of. I'm not good at gulls, and I don't have a specialist gull book. I can't confidently match these to anything in my area books. Thanks for any help.

certainly not. it's probably a vega (with white head??) or mongolian gull, 3rd cycle, surely not a black-tailed gull.
fisrt one is a kamtschatka gull (larus canus kamtschatschensis)

The second bird looks like a (3rd-cycle) Slaty-backed Gull to me, since the outermost primaries appear to be nearly translucent and there is still quite a lot of brown mottling on belly and underwing coverts.
