They claim that it produces the best quality high speed HD movies of any compact camera. You will need to look at the spec to confirm precisely what they are claiming - it will be interesting to see some hands on results.

This may be of interest to some and may explain why this camera has gone back to AA cells if you believe the spec, which will appeal to those who find this type of battery more sensible than the custom cells used in its predecessor.

They do state however that the CR-V3 beloved of many Olympus users as a standby is not compatible.


The lens is a bit wider at the bottom and marginally longer 22.4 - 896, a14 mp sensor as before.
