Hallo together,

is there any recommend internet page with Japanese bird names.
Ideally with both Japanese and English, but I can read also Hiragana.

Thank you very much.

Best regards

Have you tried avibase? They have Japanese names amongst others, although I don't know how complete the names list is.

Funnily, all Japanese bird names are written in katakana.
The list (Japanese + scientific) is on wikipedia.

Thank you very much for help.

Hopefully wikipedia names are right.
In internet are many failures with Japanese language.
If I send Japanese friends setence from google translator they often laugh.

In the wikipedia overview are Katagana, often Kanji and somethimes Furigana ( Kanji + Katagana ).

Much less informations are in

For location I thing this page is very good

Try joining Kantori if you are on Facebook (an English speaking Group) and asking there, someone on there may be able to help with a Japanese site / page with English names.

They should be, as they're written by Japanese people!
