Which Zosterops is now on coastal Malaysia ?

I'm lost with the change in white-eye classification.

In HBW, I see that the bird I've in Kuala Lumpur are is

Quote:
Z. p. auriventer A. O. Hume, 1878 – extreme S Myanmar (S Tenasserim), W coast of S Thailand, W & SE Peninsular Malaysia (including islands of Ra, Libong, Pinang, Kelang Estuary Group and Pisang off W coast, and Tioman off E coast), Singapore, E coastal areas of Sumatra, Riau Is (Kundur), Bangka I, S Natuna Is and Borneo (W Sarawak, Brunei).
This is a subsècies of Oriental White-eye.

IOC split auriventer as a species, which is ok, and include in the new species some taxa from Everett's White-eye.

However, range given for nominale subspecies is much more restriced.

Quote:
Z. a. auriventer Hume, 1878 se Burma (Tenasserim)
Therefore, I wonder now what are the bird I've seen in the mangrove near Kuala Lumpar (Kuala Selangor). I've seen Z. a. tahanensis in the mountains and, as far as I understand, this subspecies is not supposed to be in the coastal lowlands.

Can someone help me on that case ? THANKS

Yep, since that's western peninsula. (I think in the northeast of peninsular Malaysia it'd Z. simplex williamsoni.)
